2 YOu should See marketing as a process

Creativity is vital to writing a narrative that grabs your customers’ attention and successfully positions you in the marketplace.

But big ideas don’t appear out of thin air. They come from hard work and building a platform that ultimately makes it possible for you to reach up and grab them.

Any big idea is also just a beginning. You need to realise it, trial it and then refine it. Rarely is a problem solved at the first attempt. Brands continually evolve.

3 You must CHoose the right channels

Marketing demands that you get in the room with your customers, cut through the noise and be heard.

However, in today’s fragmented landscape with so many marketing channels to choose from, it’s hard to choose which ones to use to ensure your communications count.

Making the right choices though is critical. There is simply no point trying to get in front of your customers using channels that that they do not use or use only in the wrong context.

The answer is not to jump in but to look beyond the obvious. You need to research where your customers hang out, when they hang out and all the ways you can get in the right room with them.
